Aaron Ashmore, born on October 7, 1979, in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, is a Canadian actor known for his role as Jimmy Olsen in the television series Smallville. He is the twin brother of actor Shawn Ashmore. The Ashmore twins were discovered by a talent agent at a young age and began their careers in commercials. Aaron's career took off with his portrayal of Jimmy Olsen, while Shawn gained fame as Bobby "Iceman" Drake in the X-Men films. Over the years, the twins have developed distinct careers, with Aaron noted for his broader physique and height of 6 feet. He resides in Toronto and is married. Both brothers share a tattoo honoring their grandfather's initials. Aaron also appeared alongside Shawn in Smallville, where Shawn played Eric Summers in earlier episodes.
