Alison Armitage

Biography

Alison Armitage, born on February 26, 1965, in London, England, was raised in Hong Kong after her family relocated there when she was six years old. Growing up in a multicultural environment sparked her interest in travel. A graduate in computer science, she moved to the United States, inspired by the television series Charlie's Angels. An accomplished swimmer, she qualified for Hong Kong's Olympic team but transitioned to modeling upon her arrival in the U.S. Her modeling career included work with a Denver agency and a feature as Playboy's Playmate of the Month in October 1990 under the name Brittany York. Armitage made her film debut in 1992 with Posing: Inspired by Three Real Stories and appeared in several other films and television shows, including a notable role in Seinfeld's "The Jimmy" episode as Cheryl, the dental hygienist, credited as Alison Armitage.
