Biography
All Saints were a British/Canadian girl group formed in 1993, originally known as All Saints 1.9.7.5. The group comprised founding members Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis, and sisters Nicole Appleton and Natalie Appleton. They emerged as one of the most successful British pop acts of the 1990s, achieving nine top ten singles, including five number-one hits, and two multi-platinum albums, with global sales exceeding ten million.
Initially, Blatt and Lewis began their careers providing backing vocals at Sarm West Studios. After signing with ZTT Records, they launched the group but faced challenges with their original member Simone Rainford, who left in 1995. Following her departure, Blatt and Lewis recruited Nicole and Natalie Appleton, solidifying the lineup that would achieve significant commercial success. The group is recognized for their contributions to pop music during the era and has retained a lasting legacy in the industry.
