Biography

Amy Landecker, born on September 30, 1969, is an American actress known for her work in theater, film, and television. She began her career in Chicago, performing at prestigious venues such as Steppenwolf and Goodman theaters. Her stage performance in a production directed by Bob Falls led her to New York City, where she appeared at the Public Theatre, Barrow St Theater, and Second Stage. Landecker received an ensemble Obie Award for her role in Tracy Letts' "Bug," which also marked her transition to Los Angeles. She gained recognition for her performance as "Mrs. Samsky" in the Coen brothers' film "A Serious Man" (2009) and starred as "Sarah Pfefferman" in the acclaimed series "Transparent" (2014), which earned multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards. Additionally, Landecker has written pilots for FX and Amazon and is recognized as a prominent voice-over talent in animation and commercials.
