Andriy Mykolayovych Shevchenko, born on 29 September 1976 in Ukraine, is a retired professional footballer renowned for his career as a striker. He began his professional journey at Dynamo Kyiv, where he achieved significant success before moving to European clubs AC Milan and Chelsea. Shevchenko is celebrated for his goal-scoring prowess and technical skills, earning numerous accolades throughout his career, including the Ballon d'Or in 2004. He also represented the Ukrainian national team, earning over 100 caps and participating in major tournaments such as the UEFA European Championship and the FIFA World Cup. After retiring from professional play, Shevchenko transitioned into coaching and has been involved in football development in Ukraine. He resides in Ukraine and is married.
