Andy Murray, born on 15 May 1987 in Dunblane, United Kingdom, is a professional tennis player. He began playing tennis at the age of three and turned professional in 2005. His early achievements included winning the U-12s Orange Bowl championships in Florida in 1999 and Junior Wimbledon in 2002. In 2004, he was named the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year. Murray made history in 2005 by becoming Britain’s youngest Davis Cup player. He gained significant attention at Wimbledon that same year, defeating 14th seed Radek Stepanek in his first-round match, leading to comparisons with Tim Henman as the future of British tennis. Standing 191 cm tall, Murray has had a distinguished career and remains a prominent figure in the sport. He is married and resides in the United Kingdom.
