Angela Nathalie Gossow, born on 5 November 1974 in Cologne, Germany, is a prominent figure in the heavy metal music scene. She served as the lead vocalist for the Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy from 2001 to 2014, gaining recognition for her powerful growling technique. Gossow's musical career began with her involvement in the bands Asmodina and Mistress prior to joining Arch Enemy. She is noted for being one of the few successful female metal singers to adopt growling as her primary vocal style.
