Biography

Angela Yeung Wing, known professionally as Angelababy, was born on 28 February 1989 in Shanghai, China. She is a model, actress, and singer based in Hong Kong. In 2013, she gained recognition as one of the New Four Dan Actresses, as noted by Southern Metropolis Daily. Angelababy won the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2016 for her performance in the film Mojin: The Lost Legend.

She has a diverse heritage, with a Shanghainese mother and a father of mixed German and Chinese descent. Angelababy developed an interest in fashion from a young age, influenced by her father's fashion business. After moving to Hong Kong at the age of thirteen, she signed a modeling contract with Style International Management at fourteen. Fluent in multiple languages, including English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, she adopted the stage name Angelababy by combining her English name and a nickname from her school years.
