Biography

Ann Wilson is an American musician renowned as the lead singer and songwriter of the rock band Heart. A member since the early 1970s, she collaborates with her younger sister, Nancy Wilson, in a groundbreaking group that was among the first hard rock bands fronted by women. Heart gained prominence with albums such as "Dreamboat Annie" (1975) and "Little Queen" (1977), featuring iconic singles like "Magic Man," "Crazy on You," and "Barracuda." The band has sold over 35 million records globally and achieved top 10 placements on the Billboard 200 across multiple decades. In 2006, Wilson was ranked no. 78 in Hit Parader's list of "Greatest Heavy Metal Vocalists of All Time." She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 as a member of Heart. Wilson is noted for her lyric soprano vocal range and operatic abilities.
