Anna Fenninger
Biography
Anna Fenninger is an Austrian World Cup alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist. She was born in Hallein and is from the village of Adnet in Salzburg. Fenninger achieved significant success in her skiing career, becoming the overall World Cup champion for the 2014 season, which she secured in March 2014. She initially competed in all five alpine disciplines but excluded slalom from her events starting in January 2012. Her first major achievement came in 2011 when she won the world championship in the super combined, despite not having won a World Cup race prior to that. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, Fenninger earned her first Olympic medal by winning the super-G at Rosa Khutor. By the end of the 2014 season, she had also claimed the World Cup overall and giant slalom titles.
