Antony Starr

Biography

Antony Starr is a New Zealand actor recognized for his prominent television roles. He is best known for portraying the dual characters of Jethro and Van West in the series Outrageous Fortune (2005–10) and Lucas Hood in the Cinemax series Banshee (2013–16). Starr gained international acclaim for his role as Homelander in the Amazon Prime Video series The Boys and its spin-offs, which began airing in 2019. His performance in the 2012 Australian film Wish You Were Here earned him the AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Additionally, Starr received a nomination for the New Zealand Film Award for Best Actor for his role in After the Waterfall (2010). His work has established him as a notable figure in the entertainment industry.
