Biography
Ariane Labed, born on 8 May 1984, is a Greek-French actress and film director. She gained recognition for her feature film debut in Attenberg, which earned her the Volpi Cup for Best Actress. Labed has appeared in notable films such as Before Midnight (2013), The Lobster (2015), and Assassin's Creed (2016). In addition to her acting career, she made her directorial debut with September Says, based on a screenplay she wrote and adapted from the novel Sisters by Daisy Johnson. The film premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, highlighting her evolving role in the film industry.
