Armin van Buuren

Biography

Armin van Buuren, born on September 25, 1976, in the Netherlands, is a prominent Dutch trance producer and DJ. He gained international acclaim after being voted the number one DJ in DJ Magazine's annual top 100 list for three consecutive years (2007-2009). Since 2001, he has hosted the weekly radio show A State of Trance, which reportedly attracts over 30 million listeners worldwide. His 2008 album, Imagine, made history by debuting at number one on the Dutch album chart, the first for a dance artist. Van Buuren has collaborated with various artists and is known for his annual "Year Mix," featuring popular trance tracks. He has released several successful studio albums, including Shivers and Mirage, and has performed at major events, including his Armin Only shows. In recognition of his contributions to music, he has received multiple awards, including the Buma Cultuur Pop Award and the Golden Harp.
