Arna Ýr Jónsdóttir, born on 30 May 1995, is an Icelandic model, beauty pageant titleholder, and pole vaulter. She gained recognition as Miss Iceland 2015, representing her country at Miss World 2015. Arna Ýr later won the title of Miss Universe Iceland 2017 and participated in Miss Universe 2017. In 2016, she made headlines for withdrawing from Miss Grand International 2016 after organizers requested that she lose weight, a decision that drew media attention from outlets like CNN and The Independent. As a track and field athlete, she specializes in pole vaulting and has won the Icelandic women's championship, as well as a bronze medal at the 2014 European Team Championships in Tbilisi. In addition to her pageantry, she has worked as a brand representative for Nike.
