Biography

Isabella May Ramsey is an English actor born in Nottingham. They gained prominence for their role as Lyanna Mormont in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2016–2019) and currently portray Ellie in the HBO adaptation of The Last of Us (2023–present), for which they have received nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Ramsey's other notable performances include Mildred Hubble in the CBBC series The Worst Witch (2017), voicing the title character in the Netflix animated series Hilda (2018–2023), and starring in the film Catherine Called Birdy (2022), which earned them a Critics' Choice Movie Award nomination for Best Young Performer. They identify as non-binary and prefer they/them pronouns, though they express flexibility regarding pronoun use. Ramsey has also indicated that their sexuality is not strictly defined.
