Billy Magnussen

Biography

Billy Magnussen, born April 20, 1985, in Queens, New York, is an American actor and musician known for his work in theater and film. He grew up in Woodhaven, Queens, before relocating to Cumming, Georgia, at the age of 10. Magnussen graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts and made his Broadway debut in 2007 with "The Ritz." He gained widespread recognition in 2008 for his role as Casey Hughes on the CBS soap opera "As The World Turns" and appeared in the feature film "Happy Tears" alongside Demi Moore. Magnussen has also guest-starred in series such as "Boardwalk Empire" and "Law & Order." In addition to acting, he plays bass and guitar and contributes to the NYC-based bands "The Dash" and "Reserved for Rondee." Outside of his professional pursuits, Magnussen enjoys various physical activities, including carpentry, rock climbing, and team sports.
