Brett Cullen
Biography
Peter Brett Cullen, born on August 26, 1956, is an American actor known for his work in film and television. He gained recognition for his role as an estranged father in the NBC drama series Friday Night Lights, which aired in 2007. Cullen graduated from the University of Houston in 1979 and participated in the Houston Shakespeare Festival for four years. He co-owns a production company, The Yellow Rose, Inc., with musician Meat Loaf. A graduate of Madison High School in Houston, Texas, Cullen is a longtime friend of actor Dennis Quaid, with whom he studied drama under Cecil Pickett. He is also a spokesman for "Houston Works." Cullen has a daughter with his wife, Michele Little, born in 1995. In his youth, he survived a near-drowning incident during a surfing accident in Mexico.
