Biography

Chad L. Coleman is an American film and television actor, renowned for his roles as Dennis "Cutty" Wise in HBO's The Wire and Tyreese in AMC's The Walking Dead. Raised in a foster home in Richmond, Virginia, he initially engaged in track and field before shifting his focus to drama following a leg injury. Coleman served in the United States Army as a video cameraman from 1985 to 1989. His acting career includes a notable portrayal of O.J. Simpson in the TNT movie Monday Night Mayhem and guest appearances in series such as Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. He has also contributed as a voice actor in the video game Left 4 Dead 2. In addition to his television work, Coleman appeared in a Broadway revival of August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone and starred in the Norwegian series Buzz Aldrin, What Happened To You In All The Confusion?.
