Charlie Heaton

Biography

Charlie Ross Heaton (born February 6, 1994) is an English actor and musician, best known for his role as Jonathan Byers in the Netflix series Stranger Things, which premiered in 2016. Heaton began his career in music before transitioning to acting, appearing on British television and in films such as the indie thriller Shut In (2016) and the horror films Marrowbone (2017) and The New Mutants (2020). He has a son, Archie, born in 2014, with his former bandmate Akiko Matsuura. Heaton has been in a relationship with his Stranger Things co-star Natalia Dyer since 2016. In October 2017, he was detained at Los Angeles International Airport for possession of a small amount of cocaine but was not charged and returned to London. He later resumed work on Stranger Things, participating in its third season.
