Biography

Claudia Wells is an actress best known for her role as Jennifer Parker, Marty McFly's girlfriend, in the 1985 film Back to the Future. Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, she spent her early childhood in Punto Fijo, Venezuela, before moving to San Francisco, California, where she completed high school. Initially cast in Back to the Future, Wells was unable to participate due to a conflicting commitment but was later recast after the lead actor was replaced. She chose not to reprise her role in the sequels to prioritize family after her mother's cancer diagnosis. In addition to her film work, Wells appeared in the anti-drug music video Stop the Madness in 1985 and had roles in the TV movie Babies Having Babies and the series Fast Times. In 2011, she voiced Jennifer Parker in Back to the Future: The Game, marking her return to the franchise.
