Biography

Cody Robert Simpson, born on 11 January 1997 in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, is a pop singer-songwriter currently signed to Atlantic Records in the United States. He is the son of Brad and Angie Simpson and has two younger siblings, Tom and Alli. In addition to his music career, Simpson is an accomplished swimmer, having won two gold medals at the Queensland Swimming Championships and training at the Miami Swimming Club.

Simpson gained recognition in 2009 by posting cover songs on YouTube, which led to his discovery by producer Shawn Campbell. His debut extended play, "4 U," was released on 21 December 2010, featuring the single "iYiYi." He has since released additional singles and a mixtape titled "Angels & Gentlemen" in April 2012. Cody Simpson is currently in a relationship.
