Biography

Courtney B. Vance was born on 12 March 1960 in the United States. He is a prominent actor known for his role as Ron Carver on the television series Law & Order: Criminal Intent and for guest appearances on TNT's The Closer. Vance gained critical acclaim for his performance as Johnnie Cochran in the FX limited series The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, for which he won an Emmy Award in 2016. He has been married to actress Angela Bassett since 1997, and the couple has twins named Bronwyn and Slater. Standing at 175 cm (5' 9"), Vance continues to be a significant figure in the entertainment industry.
