Biography

David Bryan "D.B." Woodside, born on July 25, 1969, in Jamaica, Queens, New York, is an American actor recognized for his diverse roles in television. He gained prominence for portraying Wayne Palmer, the White House Chief of Staff and later President, on the FOX series 24. Woodside also played Melvin Franklin in the NBC miniseries The Temptations and appeared as Robin Wood in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He began his acting career in 1996 with a role in Murder One and has since made guest appearances on shows like The Practice, Grey's Anatomy, and Monk. Woodside holds a B.A. from the University at Albany, SUNY, and an M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama. He is currently known for his role as Malcolm Franks on the VH1 series Single Ladies. Woodside is 6' 3" tall and is currently single.
