David de Gea Quintana, born on 7 November 1990 in Madrid, Spain, is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Manchester United in the Premier League. He began his career at Atlético Madrid, making his senior debut in 2009 and helping the team secure the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup in 2010. De Gea transferred to Manchester United in June 2011 for a then-British record fee for a goalkeeper. Over his tenure, he has made over 500 appearances, winning several titles including a Premier League title, an FA Cup, and the UEFA Europa League. De Gea has been recognized as one of the top goalkeepers globally, winning multiple individual awards.
