Demián Bichir Nájera, born on August 1, 1963, is a prominent Mexican actor from the distinguished Bichir family, which includes his parents Alejandro Bichir and Maricruz Nájera, as well as his brothers Odiseo and Bruno Bichir. He began his acting career at the age of 14 in the telenovela Rina and gained recognition for his roles in acclaimed Mexican films such as Sexo, pudor y lágrimas and Sin noticias de Dios. Bichir achieved international fame for his portrayal of Detective Marco Ruiz in the FX drama series The Bridge. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance in A Better Life (2011). Throughout his career, Bichir has balanced roles in both telenovelas and films across Mexico, Spain, and the United States, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
