Elisabeth Judson Shue, born on October 6, 1963, is an American actress recognized for her diverse roles in film and television. She gained prominence with performances in iconic movies such as The Karate Kid (1984), Adventures in Babysitting (1987), Cocktail (1988), and the Back to the Future sequels (1989, 1990). Her role in Leaving Las Vegas (1995) earned her an Academy Award nomination, and she has also received nominations for a Golden Globe and a BAFTA. Shue has appeared in various other films, including The Saint (1997) and Hollow Man (2000). In February 2012, she began portraying Julie Finlay on CBS's police drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Shue is married and resides in the United States.
