Everett McGill
Biography
Everett McGill, born on October 21, 1945, is an American actor and former dance band leader from Kansas City. He gained prominence as a stage actor, amassing over 1,300 performances on Broadway. McGill first attracted significant attention in film with his role in Jean-Jacques Annaud's Oscar-winning movie, Quest for Fire. Throughout his career, he has showcased versatility by portraying a wide range of characters, from villainous to endearing. He is particularly recognized for his portrayal of Ed Hurley, the owner of Big Ed's Gas Farm, in David Lynch's cult television series Twin Peaks, a role he reprised in the Showtime sequel, Twin Peaks: The Return. McGill studied dance at the Kansas City Conservatory of Music and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Theatre from the University of Missouri.
