Biography
Five Finger Death Punch (5FDP) is an American heavy metal band formed in 2005 in Los Angeles, California. The band was founded by guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer, with vocalist Ivan Moody and bassist Matt Snell joining shortly thereafter. The lineup has changed over the years, with guitarist Caleb Bingham replaced by Darrell Roberts in 2006, and later by Jason Hook in 2009. Snell departed in 2010, with Chris Kael taking over in 2011. Their debut album, The Way of the Fist, was released in 2007 and achieved significant success, followed by the critically acclaimed War Is the Answer in 2009, both certified gold by the RIAA. Their third album, American Capitalist, was released on October 11, 2011, debuting at number three on the Billboard 200. Five Finger Death Punch has participated in various international music festivals, solidifying their presence in the heavy metal scene.
