Francine York, born Francine Yerich on August 26, 1938, is an American actress known for her work in film and television. Hailing from Aurora, Minnesota, she developed an interest in acting from a young age, performing in school productions. After winning the local Miss Eveleth beauty contest, she began a modeling career that led her to Hollywood.
York's early acting experience included performances as a showgirl and roles in various stage productions. She gained significant recognition for her role in Jerry Lewis's film "It's Only Money," which led to further collaborations with him in several movies, including "The Nutty Professor" and "The Family Jewels."
