Gayle Hunnicutt
Biography
Gayle Hunnicutt is an American actress and author, born in Fort Worth, Texas. She is the daughter of Colonel Sam Lloyd Hunnicutt and Virginia Hunnicutt and attended the University of California, Los Angeles. Hunnicutt began her career as a fashion model before transitioning to acting. She was married to actor David Hemmings from 1968 to 1975 and has a son, actor Nolan Hemmings. Hunnicutt's notable television roles include Charlotte Stant in the 1972 adaptation of Henry James's The Golden Bowl, Lionel's wife in The Legend of Hell House (1973), and Tsarina Alexandra in Fall of Eagles (1974). She gained recognition in the U.S. for her role as Vanessa Beaumont in the series Dallas from 1989 to 1991. Hunnicutt has authored two books: Health and Beauty in Motherhood (1984) and Dearest Virginia: love letters from a cavalry officer in the South Pacific (2004).
