Hannah Fraser, born on January 1, 1977, in Australia, is a professional swimming mermaid and ocean activist currently residing in the United States. She gained attention for her commitment to marine conservation, notably during protests against dolphin hunting in Taiji, Japan, where she was featured in the documentary "The Cove" (2009) after being attacked by fishermen. Fraser created her first mermaid tail at the age of nine and has since developed her skills as a free diver, capable of diving 50 feet underwater on a single breath without the use of oxygen tanks, masks, or wetsuits, relying solely on her mermaid tail. She is married and continues to advocate for ocean preservation through her performances and activism.
