Biography

Hideo Kojima is a Japanese video game director and producer, best known for his work in the gaming industry. He began his career at Konami, where he served as Vice President of Konami Digital Entertainment in 2011 and held various positions, including Vice President of Konami Computer Entertainment Japan. Kojima is celebrated for creating and directing the Metal Gear series, a pioneering franchise in stealth gaming, as well as other notable titles such as Snatcher and Policenauts. He also produced the Zone of the Enders and Boktai series. Recognized as one of the most influential figures in video game development, Kojima is acclaimed for his innovative storytelling and game design. Born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1963, he spent part of his childhood in western Japan. Throughout his career, he has consistently pushed the boundaries of gaming narratives and technology.
