Biography

Hot Chip is an English electronic music band formed in London in 2000. The group initially self-released their music before signing with Moshi Moshi in 2003, leading to the release of their debut album, "Coming on Strong," in 2004. They gained wider recognition with their second album, "The Warning," released in 2006, which was nominated for the Nationwide Mercury Prize and produced UK top forty hits like "Over and Over" and "Boy from School." Hot Chip continued to evolve their sound with subsequent albums, including "Made in the Dark" (2008), "One Life Stand" (2010), and "In Our Heads" (2012), the latter being their first release with Domino Records. The band is known for their eclectic style, blending elements of electronic, pop, and dance music, and has received critical acclaim throughout their career.
