Idda Van Munster

Biography

Aida Đapo, known by her pseudonym Idda van Munster, was born on 5 June 1990 in Trebinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is a blogger, model, and make-up artist, drawing inspiration from the fashion and hairstyles of the 1920s to 1960s. Đapo comes from an ethnic Bosniak and Muslim family, with familial roots tracing back to Bileća. During the Bosnian War in 1992, she and her parents fled to Germany as refugees. After the war, they returned to Bosnia, settling in Sarajevo, where Đapo faced criticism for her Trebinje dialect. Her pseudonym is inspired by the character Marilyn Munster from her favorite childhood TV show, The Munsters, and she also cites actress Marlene Dietrich as a significant influence on her work.
