Imani Hakim

Biography

Imani Hakim, born on August 12, 1993, is an American actress recognized for her portrayal of Tonya Rock on the sitcom Everybody Hates Chris. She gained further acclaim for her role as Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas in the 2014 Lifetime film The Gabby Douglas Story. Hakim has appeared in the films Chocolate City and Burning Sands, and currently plays a supporting role in the Apple TV+ series Mythic Quest. She is in a relationship with Chris Naoki Lee, and the couple announced their engagement in November 2024. In December 2024, they revealed they were expecting their first child together, welcoming their son, Kazuo-Marley Hakim Lee, in February 2025. Standing at 155 cm (5' 1"), Hakim resides in the United States.
