Biography
Jade Chantel Cole, born on June 19, 1979, is an American fashion and print model, as well as a former reality television personality. She gained prominence as a contestant on Cycle 6 of America's Next Top Model, where she was noted for her mixed ethnicity—her father is African-American and her mother is Dutch. Following her reality TV appearance, she established Biracial Butterfly Productions, an agency that represents biracial models. Cole has been recognized by Marie Claire as one of the top contestants in ANTM history and has been characterized as a memorable reality TV figure. Prior to her modeling career, she worked as a kindergarten teacher in Philadelphia. Cole has collaborated with various modeling agencies worldwide and has been involved with Casa de Amparo, an organization focused on child welfare. She has expressed concerns about the portrayal of contestants on reality television and has declined participation in subsequent seasons.
