Jane Zhang, born on 11 October 1984 in China, is a prominent Chinese pop singer. She gained recognition as a finalist in the 2005 Super Girl contest, a national all-female singing competition in China, where her diverse performances in English, Spanish, Cantonese, and Mandarin showcased her vocal range. Zhang is particularly noted for her distinctive whistle register, earning her the nickname "The Dolphin Princess."
Her debut album, The One, was produced by American producer Craig Williams, with executive production by Reid Hyams. Zhang's subsequent album, Update, marked a departure from traditional Chinese pop, incorporating elements of R&B and jazz. Additionally, she participated in the World Peace One concert, aimed at promoting awareness and activism for world peace, alongside renowned artists such as U2 and Madonna. Zhang continues to be a significant figure in the music industry, celebrated for her vocal talent and artistic versatility.
