Janet Margolin
Biography
Janet Margolin was an American actress known for her work in theater, television, and film. She gained early recognition for her role in a commercial for Zest and appeared in the soap opera The Edge of Night. At 18, she won a significant Broadway role as Anna in Daughter of Silence, earning a Tony Award nomination. Margolin made her film debut in 1962's David and Lisa and later starred in The Eavesdropper and Morituri alongside Marlon Brando. By 1967, she was recognized as one of Hollywood's "brightest new stars." Her notable films include Enter Laughing, Take the Money and Run, and Annie Hall. Margolin's final film appearance was in Ghostbusters II, and she also acted in television series such as Murder, She Wrote. She was married to actor/director Ted Wass and had two children. Margolin passed away from ovarian cancer on December 17, 1993, at the age of 50.
