Janine Tugonon

Biography

Janine Tugonon is a Filipino fashion model, television presenter, and beauty pageant titleholder known for her accomplishments in the Miss Universe competition. She was crowned Miss Universe Philippines in 2012 and finished as 1st Runner-up at the Miss Universe pageant that same year, becoming the only Asian to place in the Top 5. Tugonon earned a Pharmacy degree with Latin honors from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila and became a licensed pharmacist in 2010. She has also been involved in ballet training and has participated in various beauty pageants, including Binibining Pilipinas. After her pageant success, Tugonon transitioned into modeling, signing with MSA Models and featuring in campaigns for brands like Wells Fargo and Walmart. She has walked in New York Fashion Week and was a finalist in David Bellemere's NU Muses calendar. Tugonon currently resides in the United States, where she continues her studies and modeling career.
