Jesse Tyler Ferguson was born on October 22, 1975, in Missoula, Montana. He is an American actor known for his prominent role as Leaf Coneybear in the Tony Award-winning musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and for his work on the CBS sitcom The Class. Ferguson began acting at age 8, performing with the Albuquerque Children's Theater before attending the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. His career includes appearances in films such as Untraceable and Ordinary Sinner, and television shows including Ugly Betty and Sally Hemings: An American Scandal. Ferguson has also performed in various musicals and plays, earning Drama League Award nominations for his performances. He is a member of multiple acting unions, including SAG and AEA.
