James Christopher "Jim" Gaffigan, born July 7, 1966, is an American stand-up comedian and actor known for his observational humor, particularly about food and family life. Gaffigan hails from Chesterton, Indiana, and is one of six siblings. He graduated from Georgetown University in 1988 and is of Irish descent. His comedy often features high-pitched asides, inspired by his sister, which add a unique flavor to his routines. Gaffigan gained popularity with his 2006 album "Beyond the Pale," which accompanied a successful Comedy Central special. He has appeared in various films, including "Super Troopers" and "17 Again," and was a regular on the sitcom "My Boys." In addition to stand-up, he produced animated shorts for "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" and has made guest appearances on several television shows. Gaffigan is married to Jeannie Noth and they have three children.
