Biography

James Peter Greaves MBE was an English professional footballer renowned for his exceptional goal-scoring ability as a forward. He is recognized as England's fourth highest international goalscorer, netting 44 goals for his national team. Greaves holds the record as Tottenham Hotspur's highest ever goalscorer with 266 goals and is the all-time leading scorer in the history of English top-flight football, with a total of 357 goals. He also achieved the distinction of scoring the most hat-tricks for England, totaling six. Throughout his career, Greaves finished as the top scorer in the First Division on six occasions. His contributions to the sport were further acknowledged with his induction into the English Football Hall of Fame.
