Joe Flanigan, born Joseph Harold Dunnigan III on January 5, 1967, in Los Angeles, California, is an American actor and writer. He is best known for his role as John Sheppard in the science fiction television series "Stargate: Atlantis," which aired from 2004 to 2009. Flanigan has also appeared in films such as "6 Balas" (2012) and "Aprendiendo a vivir" (1999). In addition to his acting career, he has contributed to various writing projects. Flanigan has been married to Katherine Kousi since 1996, and the couple has three children.
