Biography

Kalki Koechlin, born on January 10, 1984, in France, is a French film actress based in India. She made her acting debut in the 2009 Hindi film Dev.D, directed by Anurag Kashyap, where she portrayed the character of Chandramukhi. Her performance earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Kalki was raised in a small village in Pondicherry by French parents, who moved to India 38 years ago and are followers of Sri Aurobindo. She attended Hebron School in Ooty and later pursued drama and theatre studies at Goldsmiths, University of London. During her time at university, she worked with the Theatre of Relativity, performing in various plays, including David Hare’s The Blue Room and Marivaux’s The Dispute. As of now, she is single and stands 173 cm tall.
