A British model, fashion designer, and entrepreneur, she emigrated to the United States in 2007. Kato is recognized as a prominent figure in the steampunk community, often referred to as the "supermodel of steampunk." Her distinctive look inspired the steampunk comic character Lady Mechanika, and her work has been featured in various publications, including International Steampunk Fashions. She has appeared on the covers of several magazines, such as Bizarre Magazine, where she was dubbed a "steampunk idol," and Phantasm Magazine, which labeled her "The Queen of Steam."
