Keir Dullea
Biography
Keir Dullea, born on May 30, 1936, is an American actor renowned for his role as astronaut David Bowman in Stanley Kubrick's 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey and its 1984 sequel, 2010: The Year We Make Contact. His film career also includes notable performances in Bunny Lake Is Missing (1965) and Black Christmas (1974). Dullea studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York City. In addition to his film work, he has enjoyed a successful stage career, performing in various productions in New York City and regional theaters. Dullea has expressed a preference for theater over film, despite his recognition in the latter medium. He is currently 89 years old and is married.
