Biography
Laura Robson, born on 21 January 1994, is a British tennis player currently residing in the United Kingdom. Standing at 178 cm (5' 10"), she is the No. 4 ranked female player in Great Britain. Robson began her career on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior tour in 2007 and gained prominence by winning the Wimbledon Junior Girls' Championship in 2008 at the age of 14. She reached the finals of the Australian Open girls' singles tournament in 2009 and 2010. Professionally, Robson achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 27 on 8 July 2013 and has a current singles ranking of No. 158. She won a silver medal in mixed doubles at the 2012 London Olympics alongside Andy Murray. Robson is notable for being the first British woman since 1998 to reach the fourth round of a Grand Slam, achieving this at the 2012 US Open and the 2013 Wimbledon Championships.
