Lauren Eve Mayberry, born on 7 October 1987, is a Scottish singer, songwriter, writer, and journalist. She is best known as the lead vocalist and frontwoman of the synth-pop band Chvrches, which was formed in 2011. Mayberry co-writes and co-produces the band's music alongside band members Iain Cook and Martin Doherty. In addition to her vocal work, she plays drums and keyboards and is recognized for her soprano voice. Chvrches has gained significant acclaim for their innovative sound and impactful lyrics, contributing to the contemporary music scene. Mayberry's artistic contributions extend beyond music, as she is also involved in writing and journalism.
