Biography
Lee Mack, born on 4 August 1968 in Southport, Lancashire, England, is a prominent British comedian and actor. Raised above a pub until the age of 12, he experienced a modest upbringing marked by his parents' separation. Mack attended Birkdale Primary School and Stanley High School before embarking on a varied career that included working as a stable boy and a Bluecoat entertainer at a holiday resort. He began performing stand-up comedy in 1994 while studying Drama at Brunel University, gaining recognition after winning the So You Think You're Funny competition at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1995. Mack rose to fame with his role in the BBC One comedy series The Sketch Show (2001-2004) and is best known for creating and starring in the long-running sitcom Not Going Out (2006-present) and serving as a team captain on the panel show Would I Lie to You?. He is married and resides in the United Kingdom.
