Lilli Carati, born Ileana Caravati on September 23, 1956, in Varese, Italy, was an Italian actress known for her roles in genre cinema during the 1970s and 1980s. She began her career in fashion and was a finalist in the Miss Italia 1974 competition, which led to her first film role. Carati became a prominent figure in the sexy comedy genre, appearing in notable films such as Avere vent'anni (1978) and Il corpo della ragassa (1979). However, her career was marred by struggles with drug addiction, which began in the late 1980s and led to legal troubles and health issues. After a hiatus, she made a brief return to television in the late 2000s, discussing her past and attempts at recovery. Lilli Carati passed away on October 20, 2014, in Varese, at the age of 58, after battling a brain tumor.
